Chemical Injection System

Effective Treatment for Iron, Sulfur & Bacteria

Chemical injection for well water is a proven method of improving water quality by introducing a controlled dose of disinfectant directly into your plumbing system. This process helps eliminate bacteria, oxidize iron and manganese, and reduce hydrogen sulfide (rotten egg odor) before water enters your home.

How It Works

1. Injection
A precision chemical feed pump injects a measured amount of treatment solution into the main water line.

2. Mixing & Contact Time
The solution blends thoroughly in a retention or contact tank, allowing time to:

  • Oxidize dissolved iron and manganese

  • Neutralize hydrogen sulfide

  • Control iron bacteria and microbial growth

3. Filtration
Downstream filters, such as sediment, greensand, or carbon filters, remove oxidized metals and inactive bacteria particles.

4. System Maintenance
Periodic flushing of pipes and tanks helps prevent bacterial slime buildup and maintains long-term performance.

Chemical injection systems are ideal for well water homes experiencing iron bacteria, sulfur odors, high iron levels, or manganese staining. Proper system sizing and installation ensure safe, effective, and consistent treatment.
